| Suzanne Berger, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. |
Suzanne is a dedicated and gifted holistic practitioner with an extensive yoga background. A practitioner of Oriental Medicine, she incorporates deep therapeutic bodywork into her yoga classes. Her yoga training includes Yoga Teacher Training with Erich Schiffmann at Santa Barbara Yoga Center and Advanced Teacher Training at the White Lotus Foundation with Ganga White and Tracy Rich. She has also completed Yoga Therapeutics Teacher Training with Cheri Clampett and Arturo Peale in Santa Barbara and Teacher Intensives with Rodney Yee, John Friend, Donna Hollerman, and Sarah Powers. Suzanne has been a Yoga Instructor at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and the Montecito YMCA, since 2001.

| Laurie Burnaby |
Laurie Burnaby has been practicing yoga for 16 years and teaching for 10 years. She studied Iyengar Yoga for three years and has been a dedicated student of Ashtanga Yoga for the past 13 years. Her teachers are Steve Dwelley and Michele Nichols of the Ashtanga Yoga Shala located in Santa Barbara, and she has had the privilege of studying with the foremost Ashtanga teachers in the USA (Richard Freeman, Eddie Stern, Chuck Miller, Tim Miller, Eddie Modestini, Kristin Laak, David and Andrea Miliotis, John Berlinsky) and traveled to Mysore, India to study with Pattabhi Jois in 2000. Laurie is interviewed in the documentary “Ashtanga NY”. She taught for nine years at the Santa Barbara Yoga Center and now teaches privately and at SolDance in Solvang.

Offering passionate and inspirational positions that flow from the heart in a widespread practice known as Anusara Style yoga, Christina Castelanelli welcomes all to her class. Christina’s first introduction to Anusara, founded by John Friend, was on the island of Kauai, where she has since studied with Noah Maze, Douglas Brooks, Paul Ortega Miller, and Sianna Sherman. Her journey to embrace internal beauty took her on a path stretching from Kauai, India, Santa Barbara, and now the residing in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. Christina moves beyond traditional forms of yoga and opens a new path to harmony and humility. Intertwining the practice on the mat with daily life to bring more awareness into every moment and aspect of the day has created what Christina calls YogaPuri. Her intuitive nature allows her to reach each individual student to help them develop their own unique understanding of their body and the beauty within. Always a student, she uses her own practice to bring depth, understanding, and appreciation of yoga to her classes. |
| Adrianne Crawford |
Adrianne Crawford started her Pilates career in New York City, training directly under Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates protégé, she also had the special privilege of working with Sari Meijo Santo, Bob Liekens and Juanita Lopez. A classically trained dancer, she brings something special to her teaching: Knowledge, experience and a unique level of body awareness honed from over twelve years of excellent training and performing.
Having taught at gyms such as The Pilates Studio of NY, Drago’s Gym of NY, and the Del Mar Country Club SD, Adrianne established Pilates Mind and Body, a premiere fitness studio, which was voted the number one Pilates studio in San Diego by NBC in 2007. Plus, the studio was featured on NBC, Fox 6, and KUSI news stations in San Diego.
As well as being the owner of Pilates Mind and Body, Adrianne was the most sought after instructor in the area, and worked with people of all fitness levels: sedentary to professional athletes, designing a program for each individual need and body type.
She now brings her expertise and family back home, a native Santa Barbaran to continue her teaching in the True Pilates ™ Method of Body Conditioning welcoming all levels, ages and abilities.
Adrianne maintains a private Pilates practice and participates as one of the regular Pilates Anytime instructors. |
| Lee Anne Meinhold - Keese |
Lee Anne has been practicing, exploring and loving yoga since 1996. Her study began at the Yoga Centre in San Luis Obispo in an effort to balance a stressful world and lifestyle. She moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 2003 and began teaching and has continued to study since 2004. She brings focus to alignment and connection to the breath movement through flow as well as the quiet approach of the Yin Yoga style. She completed her 200-hour certification with the Yoga Alliance in 2005. She has studied with Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, Scott Blossom, Cheri Clampett, Arturo Peal, Shiva Rae and Catherine Halcomb-LaBarbera and others. She continues to study closely the Yin, Shadow, Hatha and Therapy styles of yoga. She is currently working towards her 500 hr. certification as a professional Yoga Therapist with Joseph LePage beginning in July 2007. Lee Anne is always learning and always appreciative of the many beneficial gifts that teaching has brought into her life.

| Julie Samuels - Metheany and Ellen Levine, Co-Owners |
Julie Samuels-Metheany has been teaching dance and movement for over 25 years. Her life experience is seasoned with her professions as an eating disorder therapist and her movement classes are a combination of exercise and freedom of the heart and soul. Julie uses the movement and the group dynamics to help people experience freedom for both their body and mind.
Ellen Levine is the mother of four children and has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She spent the first part of her professional career in marketing and sales for large corporations. Ellen brings her marketing and computer expertise as well as her love for yoga together to provide the business aspects of running the studio.
Together, Julie & Ellen created SolDance Studio. Their teamwork has allowed the business to grow and prosper for nearly three years.

| Mary Kay West |
Mary Kay West has been practicing and teaching yoga since 1989. A former Clinical Psychologist, she has spent the 18 years training with world renown yogis in a range of traditions from Ashtanga, Anusara, to Iyengar and Integrative Yoga Therapy. Mary Kay has conducted workshops for students and teachers across the Southeast since 1995 and conducted Yoga Alliance Certified teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina for 10 years. She has developed and directed yoga programs in several health and holistic healing centers including programs for special needs such as sports injury recovery, spinal surgery recovery, as well as yoga for psycho-emotional needs. Her teaching skills combine knowledge of psychology, anatomy, asana, and yogic philosophy but, moreover, reflect her ever deepening devotion and dedication to the practice of yoga in each and every action. Now living and practicing in Solvang, California, Mary Kay enjoys continuing to share her knowledge and experience through Soldance Studio.
